About This Tournament
A national championship for junior men and women, organized by the Volleyball Federation of India (VFI).

The Ranking Circuit
VFI's age-group structure leads to the Senior National Championship via the junior pathway. The ladder: school/club volleyball → district U-19 tournaments → state U-19 volleyball trials → Junior National Volleyball Championship → Senior National Volleyball Championship (transition at 19+). VFI selectors use the Junior National Championship to identify players for the India U-20 national team, which competes in the AVC U-20 Asian Volleyball Championship and FIVB U-20 World Championship. VFI monitors Junior National performances for early identification of players who may fast-track into the Senior National team — several current India senior national players were first noticed at the Junior National Championship at 16–17 years of age. After the Junior National, players typically transition to their state senior team for the Senior National Championship within 1–2 years.

Does my child need prior federation registration to participate?
