Question 1

What is PowerMySport?

Accepted Answer

PowerMySport helps parents plan their child's sports journey with AI-powered pathways, personalised guidance, and verified expert sessions across India. Our core tools are kept separate on purpose: Get Started (a free Sport Assessment for parents who don't yet know which sport suits their child), Problem Solver (AI Guidance that builds a full personalized development plan once a sport is known), Sports Pathways (a roadmap explorer covering 70+ sports), and Experts (1:1 consultations with verified coaches and mentors).

Question 2

How do I create an account?

Accepted Answer

Click on the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner and choose your account type (Player, Venue Lister, Coach, or Academy Owner). Fill in your details and verify your email to get started.

Question 3

Is PowerMySport free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes, creating an account, using the free Sport Assessment to find the right sport, using AI Guidance to build a personalized plan, and exploring sport pathways/roadmaps are all free. You only pay when you book a paid service, like an expert consultation.

Question 4

Can I book a venue, coach, or academy session right now?

Accepted Answer

The venue/coach/academy booking marketplace is temporarily paused while we roll out improvements. In the meantime, you can still get 1:1 guidance from a verified expert, or use our free Sport Assessment and AI Guidance tools to plan your child's sports journey.

Question 5

How do I book an expert consultation?

Accepted Answer

Browse verified experts, pick one whose expertise fits your child, select an available time slot, and confirm. You'll be directed to payment, and you'll get a confirmation with the session details once it's complete.

Question 6

What payment methods are accepted?

Accepted Answer

We support card, UPI, and wallet checkout for expert session payments. All payments are processed securely through our payment gateway.

Question 7

Can I cancel or reschedule an expert session?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Go to your dashboard, find the session, and choose to cancel or reschedule. Refunds follow our standard cancellation policy (see Payment & Refunds below).

Question 8

How do I find the right sport for my child?

Accepted Answer

Use Get Started (our free Sport Assessment). Answer a few quick questions about your child's age, personality, and physical traits, and it recommends sports that genuinely fit. Already know the sport? Build a Sport Profile instead to skip straight to personalization.

Question 9

Can I get a personalized development plan for my child?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Problem Solver (AI Guidance) builds a full plan once you know your child's sport: training phases, a weekly schedule, a cost breakdown, and the ideal coaching style for their personality.

Question 10

Can I add multiple children or book for more than one?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can add dependents (like children) to your account and book expert sessions for them. This is especially useful for parents managing more than one child's sports journey.

Question 11

How do I list my venue or academy?

Accepted Answer

Sign up as a Venue Lister or Academy Owner, complete the onboarding process including facility details, location, pricing, and documentation. Once approved by our review team, your listing will be live on the platform.

Question 12

What documents do I need to provide?

Accepted Answer

You'll need ownership proof, business registration, tax documents, insurance, and any relevant sports facility certifications. All documents are reviewed for authenticity.

Question 13

How do I receive payments?

Accepted Answer

Once the booking marketplace is live, payments are automatically deposited to your registered bank account after each booking is completed, and you'll be able to track earnings in your dashboard. Onboarding is open now so your listing is ready as soon as bookings launch.

Question 14

Can I set different prices for different sports?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can set sport-specific pricing. For example, a cricket pitch might be priced differently than a badminton court.

Question 15

How do I become a coach on the platform?

Accepted Answer

Sign up as a Coach, provide your certifications, sports expertise, and choose your service mode (own venue, freelance, or hybrid). The booking marketplace is temporarily paused, so complete your profile now and you'll be ready to receive bookings as soon as it reopens.

Question 16

What are the different service modes?

Accepted Answer

OWN_VENUE: You have your own training facility. FREELANCE: You travel to different venues. HYBRID: You offer both options. Choose based on how you prefer to operate.

Question 17

How do I set my availability?

Accepted Answer

You can manage your schedule in the coach dashboard. Block out times when you're unavailable, and the system will only show your available slots to players.

Question 18

Do coaches need insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All coaches must maintain active Professional Liability Insurance (₹25-50 lakh) to operate on PowerMySport. This protects you and your players. We verify insurance at onboarding and throughout the year. Coaches without valid insurance cannot accept bookings.

Question 19

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Accepted Answer

We offer a tiered refund system based on cancellation timing:
• More than 48 hours before: 100% refund
• 24-48 hours before: 50% refund
• Less than 24 hours before: No refund
For complex cases or emergencies, contact teams@powermysport.com with documentation.

Question 20

What if I need to cancel due to an emergency?

Accepted Answer

Question 21

How do I request a refund?

Question 26

Accepted Answer

Question 27

What is the Health & Safety Waiver?

Accepted Answer

The waiver is a legal document where you acknowledge the risks of sports activities (sprains, fractures, head trauma, etc.) and accept responsibility for your health and safety. By accepting, you release PowerMySport, coaches, and venues from liability for injuries during normal activity.

Question 28

When do I need to accept the waiver?

Accepted Answer

You must accept the waiver:
• During your first booking as a player
• On behalf of any dependent minor at their first booking
• When renewing an expired waiver (see below)
You cannot book without a current waiver.

Question 29

How long is my waiver valid?

Accepted Answer

Waivers are valid for 12 months from the acceptance date. We'll send you an email reminder 30 days before expiry. You must renew your waiver online before it expires to continue booking. Renewing takes 1 minute - simply re-accept the updated waiver.

Question 30

What if my waiver expires?

Accepted Answer

If your waiver expires, you cannot book new sessions until you renew it. Go to your account settings, find the expired waiver, and click 'Renew Waiver.' You'll see the current waiver version and can accept to renew immediately.

Question 31

Can my child book on PowerMySport?
