BFI's youth development ladder: school/CBSE basketball → district tournaments → State U-14 Championship → State U-16 Championship → State U-18 Championship → National U-18 Championship. Top performers at the National U-18 Championship enter BFI's national U-18 training camp and are considered for India U-18 representation in the FIBA Asian U-18 Championship. This is the most critical bridge from youth basketball to senior national consideration — players who impress here are directly observed by BFI's national senior team selectors and placed in the senior talent pool. From U-18, the progression continues to Senior National Championship → national team → professional leagues and FIBA international events.
